How do I make the quotes move?
A: Your must right-click and choose REFRESH.
We are working on new programming now that will automatically refresh
the data for you.

Q.
Why did you change the layout of my faxed report?
A: Because not only did many people ask for an easier-to-read format,
but also our upgraded equipment could now do a better job of laying out
the report. Moving the Traders Corner to its own page also made more room.

Q.
I am always online when you try to fax me. Can I have an emailed report?
A: Absolutely! The emailed Report is an attachment in Adobe Acrobat. You
can download the free Reader by Adobe at: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html.
We must also mention that with email, we have the freedom to make the
report as long as is needed to include all the information in a pleasing
layout. Our emailed report is 3 pages, as opposed to the 1 page fax. We
cannot put the report into the body of the email message nor create a
standard text file because of the tabling required. Acrobat gave us the
best freedom to deliver high-quality output without overwhelming file
size. Give us your input on this matter by sending us feedback.

Q.
I have been getting fax service for a long time. Why can't I have the
website too, for free?
A: There are many extra features available here in the members-only section
of this website that are not available in the faxed version of our reports.
We must receive a fair compensation for that. Also, if your subscription
is currently for only the morning's faxed report, then web access would
grant you access to the afternoon report- a service that other clients
pay for. Furthermore, the Exchanges (such as the LME) require us to pay
a fee for every client that receives delayed quotes. We must charge you
a little more, not only to cover the Exchange fees, but also for the licensing
paperwork involved.

Q.
I would like the
web access, but I want a printed report each day. What can I do?
A: We have reports right here online, available for you at the
same time that the fax arrives on your desk each day. If you already
have a login and password, just log in and go
to the daily reports. If you are thinking about subscribing, click
here to get more information.

Q.
Why can't I get a free trial
of the web access quotes?
A: As of January
1, 2004, The London Metal Exchange will be charging a monthly "per-user"
fee for delayed quote feeds, just as it always has for no-delay quote
feeds. Because of this reporting and fee collection requirement, The Scrap
Post is unable to provide a free trial of the quote system. Furthermore,
if you find free LME quotes elsewhere on the internet, rest assured that
they will be forced into compliance by the Exchanges very soon. We are
sorry for the inconveniences this may cause, and we hope that you will
enjoy the new quote feed systems available now!
